What does Medicare cover ?

Medicare is divided in parts, which cover different expenses

Part A - Covers hospital care. Such as hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, home health care, hospice care, inpatient psychiatric care
Part B - Covers medical services. Such as doctor visits, preventative services, durable medical equipment, outpatient care, lab tests, physical therapy
Part D - Covers prescription drugs. Such as prescription medicine, vaccines, insulin and supplies, specialty drugs

To assist in covering expenses not covered by Part A and Part B - you select either Part C Medicare Advantage plan OR a Medigap Plan

Medicare Part C - also known Medicare Advantage

It may offer other benefits like dental, vision, and hearing.

Medigap
